Advanced Wine Making Class – Fresh Grapes & Fruit – $25 per person
This class will focus on making wine from fresh grapes and fruit. We will be covering: advanced winemaking equipment. Ingredients and procedures including crushing, maceration and pressing. Testing equipment and techniques including gravity calculation, acid testing and more. The small, informal class setting ensures you get all your questions answered. This is the perfect class for wine makers interested in making wine from fresh grapes and fruit. Basic fermentation knowledge is helpful as we will not be covering the basics of fermentation, siphoning or bottling in this class. Approximately 5 hour class. Light Lunch and refreshments will be available.
Friday, October 7th 5-8 pm
Introduction to Winemaking – $15 per person
Learn how easy it is to make great wine at home. This class will focus mainly on how to make wine from Wine Kits, canned fruit and juice concentrates. We will be covering equipment, sanitation, ingredients, fermentation, bottling, procedures, techniques and plenty of good, practical advice from an experienced winemaker! Hands on demonstration lets you see the process from beginning to end while the small, informal class setting ensures you get all your questions answered. This is the perfect class for beginner wine makers. Approximately 3 hour class. Light snacks and refreshments will be available.
Saturday, October 29th 10am – 3pm
Advanced Homebrewing – All Grain Brewing – $25 per person
Learn all the basics of mashing barley for beer brewing. Information ranging from ingredients to equipment will be discussed. Emphasis of this class will be on single step mashing, other methods will also be discussed. Demonstrations will show mashing methods and sparging methods using three different styles of equipment. Hands on demonstration will allow you to actually see the process in action. Basic brewing experience is beneficial as the class will focus on wort production. Approximately 5 hour class. Light Lunch and refreshments will be available.
